Tracie Palmer

Director

Tracie has worked in the finance industry for 35 years, commencing her career in the banking sector working her way from a sub-agency teller through to Manager.

As a people person, Tracie decided to shift her career focus to finance brokerage. She secured the LJ Hooker Finance Franchise for Brisbane North and built it from the ground up to become one of the most successful LJ Hooker Finance Franchises in Australia.

Tracie realised that being part of a real estate franchise group limited her ability to take her business to the next level. She decided to sell the franchise and open an office under her own brand, Cornerstone Home Loans. The business has grown and prospered over the years. When market conditions presented challenges, Tracie diversified her business in order to maintain it’s growth.

In 2009, during her diversification period, Tracie designed and developed the Cornerstone Mentoring and Coaching Program. The success of this venture can be measured by the industry body, MFAA, approving and recommending her services and programs to both new brokers and to established brokers looking for an industry coach across Australia.

Tracie is passionate about the industry and loves helping her customers to achieve home ownership and property investment.

Tracie knows it takes hard work and many sacrifices to be one of the best.

Gillian Elliott

Operations Manager

Gillian brings a wealth of experienc e to Cornerstone Home Loans, having begun her career in finance in 1980 with the National Bank, where she worked across a variety of areas including retail banking and lending. Her depth of knowledge, ex-ceptional organisation, and attention to detail are truly unmatched.

As our Administration and Human Resources lead, Gillian is dedicated to ensuring the seamless day to day operation of the business. She thrives on the challenges and rewards that come from supporting our team and helping each member achieve their goals. Her excellence has been recognised many times, having been both a finalist and a winner of multiple awards for Best Loan Administrator in Queensland.

Gillian has worked alongside Tracie since 2007 and is a pivotal leader within the Cornerstone Home Loans team. Her professionalism, loyalty, and commitment continue to shape the strong culture and high standards we are known for.

Tricia Eigel

Operations Support

Tricia joined the Cornerstone Home Loans team in 2015 coming from a background in Disability Services for the Non-Profit sector. She was also a Coordinator working for what is now known as Spinal Life Australia.

Tricia is our Customer Service Specialist. She is a true people person who has been blessed with the gift of warm conversation. Tricia genuinely loves working with people and excels at making what can be a daunting financial process feel much more manageable.

Jude Hartigan

Exectuive Assistant to the Director

We are thrilled to welcome Jude to the team.

With over 25 years of industry experience, Jude has proven to be an invaluable asset from day one. She works closely with Director Tracie, providing essential support across all areas to ensure that every client receives an exceptional experience with Cornerstone.

From managing daily tasks to assisting with client communications, Jude handles a wide range of responsibilities, making her a vital part of the team.

She is also an avid football fan, supporting her team the West Coast Eagles!

Jayne Wiklund

Credit Analyst

With over 30 years’ experience across banking and mortgage broking, Jayne brings deep expertise in all aspects of residential lending.

Having previously worked as both a Mortgage Broker and Bank Manager, she has a strong understanding of lender policy, credit assessment, and structuring solutions that give clients confidence and clarity.

Jayne is known for her meticulous approach, strategic thinking, and commitment to supporting seamless, stress-free outcomes.

Deb Hammersley

Credit Analyst

Deb has recently joined the Cornerstone Home Loans team.

She has worked in the finance industry for 35+ years, including many years as a Broker. Deb has a Diploma in Finance but has recently chosen to step back from the Broker Role and only work only part-time.

Deb’s primary focus is on customer service and supporting the Cornerstone Team in assisting clients.

Carmen Robinson

Client Services and Support

Carmen joined the Cornerstone Home Loans team in 2026.  Her role is to support the team with brand marketing, promotions, database management and to assist the Business Owner with customer service and support.

Carmen is highly skilled in social media and marketing programs, client follow-up, and is a lovely, kind natured and supportive person.  She dedicates her time to ensure our customers experience the highest level of personalised service at all times.

Carmen is our Director of First Impressions, and you will often speak with her when calling our office.

Outside of work hours, she enjoys going to the gym and maintaining an active lifestyle. Carmen loves listening to music, eating clean, and exploring new places through travel.

Joyce Diada

Senior Processor Team Member

In 2022 after the completion of her Bachelor’s Degree, Joyce commenced her career as a Data Entry Officer after which she was promoted to a Loan Processing Officer.

In February 2024, Joyce made the decision to join the Cornerstone Team as a Senior Processing Officer. Her role is to ensure that all details pertaining to our Customers and their Loan Applications are accurate.

Joyce assists our Brokers and Administration staff by filing, sorting documents and data entry up to our legal Compliance Checks.

Paolo Grecia

Senior Processor Team Member

While Paolo was studying Medicine he realised that his true passion was in the field of finance. In 2021 he ventured into this field as an Australasian Home Loan Processor. During his internship into finance, he worked diligently to acquire the necessary knowledge to support customers in their quest for a home loan.

Through Paolo’s dedication, he quickly advanced from Data Entry Specialist to an accomplished Loan Processing Officer.

In March 2024, Paolo decided to join the Award winning Cornerstone Home Loan team as a Senior Processor. He has embraced the Cornerstone Systemisation Pathway to ensure his success into the future.

Daniel Garces

Senior Processor Team Member

Daniel has built a solid foundation in sales and customer service, spending most of his career helping customers, resolving concerns, and creating positive client experiences.  His ability to communicate effectively and build lasting relationships has been a key part of his success in these roles.

Over the years, he has developed a strong understanding of client needs and how to deliver tailored solutions.  His background includes working in fast-paced environments where meeting sales targets and maintaining customer satisfaction were top priorities.

More recently, Daniel has expanded his skills into the mortgage industry as a Broker Support Officer.  In this role, he assists with loan applications, verifies documents, and coordinates with lenders, showcasing his attention to detail and growing expertise in financial services.

Leslie Hodges

Senior Processor Team Member

Leslie brings over eight years of experience in the customer service industry and more than seven years in financial services, including four years in banking and three years specializing in mortgage home loans.

As a dedicated Loan Processor, she is known for her meticulous attention to detail, exceptional customer service skills, and ability to manage workflows efficiently. Leslie thrives in collaborative environments and enjoys working closely with both clients and colleagues to ensure a smooth, streamlined loan process.

Outside of her professional role, Leslie enjoys traveling, discovering new culinary experiences, and watching films.

Oliver Lacson

Senior Processor Team Member

Oliver began his career in customer service before moving into Workforce Management as a Real Time Analyst, where he gained experience in improving daily operations and team efficiency.

In 2024, he transitioned into broker support, assisting with loan applications, compliance checks, and client communication. Oliver helps ensure that brokers and their clients receive accurate and timely support.

Outside of work he enjoys travelling and jogging, which he says keeps him energized and inspired.
